Inside the cartridge, a patented ribbed backing ensures even distribution of activated carbon to deliver maximum water-to-carbon contact. The result? Crystal clear, crystal cleanwater.

3 Stage Filtration

1. Mechanical Filtration: The Penguin Rite-Size cartridge filters out dirt and debris while the ribbed back evenly distributes activated carbon for maximum water contact and clarity.
2. Chemical Filtration: Inside the cartridge, Black Diamond Premium Activated Carbon removes odors, discoloration, and water impurities. Replace filter cartridge monthly since carbon deactivates with use.
3. Biological Filtration: The BIO-Wheel technology delivers superior wet/dry biological filtration for nitrifying bacteria growth…eliminating toxic ammonia and nitrite fast!
